Council apologises regarding the document "Draft Procedures-CCTV System" provided for exhibition following the 17 December Council Meeting uploaded incorrectly. Please note the Policy as the correct description and document below.
Council utilises Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) to assist in monitoring and management of Council assets and public spaces. The Policy has been developed to provide for the management and operation of CCTV across the Shire.
Key elements of the draft Policy include:
- Ensuring Council's CCTV system and cameras are compliant with relevant legislation and guidelines.
- Ensuring CCTV is installed where identified for safety and/or security reasons.
- Ensuring the management of CCTV data is related to use and the privacy and retention of such data is appropriate
The Policy outlines the purpose, compliance and guidelines for CCTV use and management including retention and disposal, and release of CCTV footage including to law enforcement such as Police agencies.

The draft Policy - 'Council Use of CCTV' is on exhibition until 5.00pm Thursday 12 February 2026. Submissions should:
